Access to clean, safe drinking water is a fundamental human right, yet for millions of children in remote communities, it remains a daily struggle. A lack of clean water has devastating consequences, impacting every aspect of a child’s development, from their health and education to their future potential.
Beyond education, we have tackled another critical need in Pathamari : access to clean water. This was a significant undertaking. When we first met the people of Pathamari, the water situation was dire, with families relying on inadequate purification methods, painstakingly filtering water through sand in earthen pots. The water in Pathamari has a high iron content which was affecting the health of the community. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have constructed three deepwater tubewells and water tanks bringing clean, safe drinking water directly to the community. This initiative has been life altering for the residents of Pathamari and our students. Now, they have access to clean drinking water! With two more deep water tubewells currently in different stages of execution, we are steadfast in our commitment to providing safe drinking water for every family in this village. However, a lot more needs to be done. Water projects are expensive and we depend on your generous donation. You can donate or pledge specifically towards our Clean water project. Each water project costs around $5,000.
