Born to Live’s scholarship program currently supports nine academically gifted but disadvantaged students in the remote villages of West Bengal, India. We believe that every child deserves a good education and the chance to reach their full potential. These young students are capable and bright with boundless dreams, but they faced a profound challenge: poverty that threatened to end their education.
We are collaborating with Vedanta Tirtha, a Registered Non-Government Trust in Medinipur. Our shared mission is to provide essential financial aid and resources to disadvantaged students in rural and remote communities. The program covers crucial educational costs like tuition, exam fees, and textbooks, ensuring students can continue their studies and fulfill their potential.
It is truly heartwarming to see the transformation. With a helping hand, these students are now thriving, their confidence growing with every success. The support they receive is more than just financial aid; it’s a message that someone believes in them, and that their dreams are worth fighting for.

Meet our Scholars
Rupa Dinda
She is our first scholarship recipient. Currently in 2nd year Homeopathy college. She joined our program when she was in grade 8.
Binoy Shee
Currently in Grade 12; preparing for competitive exams for admission in engineering. He joined our program when he was in grade 8.
Saptarshi Dhara
He is currently in Grade 11. He passed Grade 10 exams with highest marks from his school. He wants to study engineering. We have been supporting Saptarshi since grade 7.
Soumya Roy
He is currently in final year of engineering in computer science. We have been supporting Soumya since grade 9.
Nilajana Samanta
She is currently in 2nd year college studying business. She aspires to become a CA. She joined our program when she was in grade 8.
Shreya Ghara
Shreya has completed her college graduation in Zoology. We have been supporting Shreya since grade 8.
Adiyant Lahiri
He is currently in grade 12 studying science. He did extremely well in his 10th examination. We have been supporting Adiyant since grade 8.
Alok Guchhait
He is currently he is in 2nd year college pursuing a degree in arts. We have been supporting Alok since grade 8.
Sayantan Adhikary
A quiet, shy child, Sayantan is very interested in science. He is currently in grade 10 and wants to pursue a career in medical research. We have been supporting Sayantan since grade 8.
Soumyadip Maity
Soumyadip Maity, a brilliant and curious Class 9 student from a poor family, stays calm and polite despite a fragile home, financial struggles, and people threatening their house.
