BTL has launched a Skill Development Centre for Competitive Entrance Examinations in the Medinipur district of West Bengal.
The centre provides structured coaching to help candidates prepare for a wide range of public- and private-sector competitive examinations, including Banking, Staff Selection Commission (SSC), and other similar tests.
The students enrolled at the centre are primarily college graduates, postgraduates seeking employment, and students currently pursuing their undergraduate degrees. Most of them come from remote villages of Medinipur and belong to financially challenged backgrounds. Many students travel up to two hours daily to attend these classes.
All faculty members are recruited from renowned coaching institutes that the students would otherwise be unable to afford. BTL bears the entire cost of these teachers, and all classes are conducted completely free of charge for the students.
The programme includes regular mock tests, continuous evaluation, and access to comprehensive study materials required for competitive examinations.
Most of these students have received their education in regional languages, which places them at a significant disadvantage when competing at the national level, as most competitive examinations are conducted in English. This centre aims to bridge that gap by providing focused academic support and skill development.
